    Re: heat tape advice

    Hi Al,

    Heat tape is pretty easy to install once you get get the gist of it. I wouldn't recommend installing one long piece of heat tape in the back except for hatchlings. Larger cages and snakes need more direct heat. I found out the hard way when I made my first large rack and ended up placing heat tape on each shelf.

    Here's a PDF on how to install Flexwatt in a parallel configuration... the most common method on racks.
