    Political Expression

It has long been a policy of this site to not allow controversial topics that spark heated emotions in the public forums. Such topics would include politics, religion, sexual preferences, etc.

The purpose of this site is to teach and promote the care of reptiles, as well as support the herping community in general. It is not here to be a sounding board for every single personal opinion or feeling that each individual member may have. We certainly don't mind off-topic discussions and have an appropriate place for such things...but even there, the heated, emotionally charged topics are off limits.

With the addition of the Quarantine Room, we were finally able to give a place for members to even express that side of themselves if they so choose...and those of us who have no wish to mix our herping hobbies with our political concerns will not have to go there looking for those threads if we dont want to.

All political expressions should be limited to the QT Room or left off this site completely. This includes the use of Avatars and Signatures. If it shows up outside of QT, then it needs to be changed. We'll send out reminder PMs as we can, but if changes aren't made within a day of the PM being sent, the avatar and/or signature may be removed by admin.

We have our own QT forum for you. There are political forums all over the 'Net you can join if you want. There are free blog programs if you feel an intense urge to type out your beliefs and share them with whoever will read them. BP.net's public forums do not need to be the repository for political commentary.

    Thank you.
