    kingsnake shedding in pieces?

My cali king has shed twice in my care, and both times, its been in pieces, but not like I've ever seen before. I haven't witnessed the actual shedding process, but when I look for the shed skin, I have to hunt for it. Its like each individual scale sheds by itself. Its nothing like I've seen when snakes have problems shedding and it comes off in patches. She doesn't have any stuck shed on her. Is there any reason for this? Is she just shredding the shed skin after she takes it off? She's my weird old rescue snake, was severely underfed by her previous owner, and she's over ten years old now.
Any ideas on this weird shedding?

The next time she goes in to shed, soak her for 10 mins in some warm water everyday still she shed. Sounds like you don't have enough humidity in her enclosure.

True Patrick, but you must think about humidity within the ground. Just because we don't see it does not mean it is not there. It can depend on quite a few factors.
