STOP BREAKING THE LAW AND YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!
Take this from a Criminology student who was about to go into Police Foundations, every officer in North America DOES have a quota to fill by the end of the month; just the same as doctors with how many prescriptions they write out. I'm a female who drives a 5 speed manual transmission Nissan 240SX sports car. You wouldn't believe me if I told you I get pulled over AT LEAST once every single month since I've started driving that car a year ago. Guess what? I have NO speeding tickets on my record and a few months ago, I got pulled over by an angry cop who clearly had nothing better to do with his time. I got a careless driving ticket ($900) because some moron decides not to check his blind spots when switching lanes, almost hits my car, and because I swerve out of his way to avoid an accident, I'm the one getting the ticket. Go figure. If they have a choice between the family sedan and the sports car covered in drifting and track stickers, guess who they'll be pulling over? There's good and bad cops, I'm not disagreeing with you that a majority of them do their jobs, but you have to put two and two together and realize that obviously, when you have the power they do, you'll use it to your advantage. And you know what? Chances are, if you don't know the law and your rights and freedoms (in order to outsmart the cop), they will use almost everything and anything within their power to use against you. It's a violation of your privacy for a cop to search your car if they pulled you over for speeding. However, 90% of the drugs found in cars are done through doing this. And of course, it's useless trying to defend yourself in court. Unless you know that information straight off the bat, there's no way for you to keep yourself safe. So basically, if you're going to complain about cops, know your law, know your rights and freedoms, and obey the law. That is all.
