    Possible New Morph???

I was looking at this snake on kingsnake from Tom Cowell. Has anyone bought from him?

What do you guys think? Does this really look new morph or is it just a pretty normal?

You never can tell now with so much stuff being brought in. I would check out the babies. Other than that, I would just consider it a normal until proven otherwise.

I just do not see the morphyness about it. Its odd, but if every odd normal proved to be a morph, there would be no normals.

    Re: Possible New Morph???

I have 1 girl that is almost identical and two that are very similar.

The identical girl is a WC adult, imported gravid, eggs collected and hatched and then she was flipped. If they flipped her, then she wasn't genetic (at least not a dom/codom). I think you have a great looking normal that just has some great variances within normal range.

Looks like a $250 normal to me. Very nice looking normal though.

    Re: Possible New Morph???

You know I was all the rave over a bunch of these unproven phantom(ish) looking snaking like everyone else over the last couple years.

I must say until I produced a female that looks very similar to a phantom from a het lavender to het lavender breeding.

To be honest I believe that phantom(ish) look is just a natural occurrence in normal ball pythons so I'm a little more skeptical over unproven phantom(ish) type animals. I do believe they are out there but not nearly as many animals that appear phantom(ish) will prove out.

    In my opinion
