well she had 11 babies about 3 or 4 weeks ago but only 2 are alive i guess its true that they have nursing problems.

i pretty much expected her to loose some but not that many. and some lived for about a week and a half and then they just dissapeared not a drop of blood or anything i guess she ate them.
oh but she loves the two that are left.

I don't think those are tumors, tumors shouldnt come to the surface, rupture open and go away. That's an infection like a cyst or absess full of pus.
Rats do have short life spans, only about 2-3 years. Their reproductive lives are short (only about 15 months of age or so), before they reach menopause.
