Second, I take offense to your comment "Hippies." Not all vegans are hippies and not all vegans want to put their ball pythons on a vegan diet. I happen to be a vegetarian slowly transitioning to vegan and I would never even consider putting ANY of my animals on a vegan diet. This person obviously does not care about their animal's wellbeing and hopefully they find the snake a new home before they kill it.
I take offense at your offense towards being associated with hippies. What'd they ever do to you?

It's unnatural for people to be breeding snakes too, as well as keeping them in captivity. Unnatural is not necessarily bad.

Tell me now, what about meat makes it unhealthy with lack thereof? I've been much healthier since I've gone on a vegetarian diet. Every single nutritional benefit that you receive from meat can be received from many different vegetables and supplements. Without all the fatty extras and hormones that people don't need.

Is it just me or has this post gone into the realm of Uber-silly?

You're not healthier because you're not eating meat, you're healthier because you're not eating meats that aren't good for you in the first place. Don't want all the "hormones" eat "organic" meats. I'm not exactly a very healthy person, but that's because I make poor dietary choices and trust me if I stopped eating meat now, it wouldn't make a positive difference in my health. I don't see the point in being vegetarian or a vegan. Too much trouble for no real pay off if you ask me. I'd rather be a omnivore and pay attention to what goes into my stomach than limit myself to anything that doesn't contain anything made from animals.

I'm a very specific eater, and I've always eaten healthy foods, even meat wise.
You still didn't answer my question however. What about me not eating meat makes me unhealthy exactly?
Also, organics can have hormones as well, hormones are an 'organic' thing which would be legally allowed under an organic label.

I didn't say it makes you unhealthy, I personally believe it is unhealthy. Seriously if "god" intended us not to eat meat, we wouldn't have multi-purpose teeth. When was the last time you had to take a steak knife to a salad?

Our digestive systems are meant to have a staple diet of vegetables with little meat. If you want me to go into details I shall.

I don't really understand why you think it's unhealthy because of what you believe. I don't think "god" intended anything, and that most of our set-up has been built over time depending on what we had available in the past.
Sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just in a real devils advocate mood.

Slap some BBQ ribs on the grill and Fire that baby up!!!

I prefer Venison personally, and try to eat it more often ( real local venison, not the store bought junk) than beef * i think it tastes better too*. I know that the meat from that deer wandered freely and happily until its final moments in life. that it did not live in a box, and fed hormones or certain grains to make it grow faster.
