Considering the possibilties of breeding
Hey y'all,
We have had our BPs for over a year now, two in one tank and one in another. I don't know their percents for anything, two were purchased from LLLreptile.com (male and female), they are the two together. The other is a male purchased at a local store. I guess what I'm wondering is this, Will having the male and female together in the same tank prevent them from breeding later on?
Edit:
Is it best to purchase two snakes with the intent of breeding? That way you can choose which possible outcomes you would most like? I don't know, I'm bored sitting here cooking and letting my mind wander.

.
Fist would like to say , and if you are keeping them in the same tank that would push breeding, and cause a bigger risk because the female might not be at the proper weight, and she could become egg bound and possbily die. So i would seperate the snakes unless you want baby snakes. hope this helps

Re: Considering the possibilties of breeding
There are a lot of reasons why it is risky to house BPs together in the same enclosure, not the least of which is an unwanted and ill-timed conception. However, if you are content to accept those risks, it is your choice.
To answer your other questions...your snakes are normals and would produce normal babies. While it IS possible to have some compatible surprise genetics in your breeding pair...it is more likely that you would win the lottery. If you WANT to breed a clutch of normal babies and you know you have a healthy male and female of proper breeding weights...then you're good to go.
If you want a particular morph or look, then you'll have to plan ahead and buy your breeding pairs accordingly.

Well worded, thanks a ton! What are some highly notable sites that sell the different morphs of BPs? I'm getting married on October 11th, if any of you are feeling froggish, jk! I would probably be looking to buy after Winter. Thanks again for all of the information!
