Couple heating questions

This is my first post on this overwhelming site. So much great info!

First question. Can you plug two different types of heating products into one thermostat. I plan on purchasing a Helix DBS-1000, and for the cooler months, I'm pretty sure my Cobra UTH won't be enough for the basking side. So my plan was to also use a ceramic emitter during that time, and plug it into the second outlet on the Helix. I will be securing the probe inside the tank, at the bottom corner of the warm side. Will this work?

Second question. Does Flexwatt have a higher max temp than standard UTH? I'm also considering possibly changing out my UTH for a section of Flexwatt. Thoughts?

My setup is a 30 gal aquarium, screen lid, room stays around 75-80 in warm months, around 65-70 during the cool months.

I'd personally just get some flexwatt instead of using the ceramic heat emitter.

Ceramic heat emitters have a tendency to dry the air which may lead to poor sheds.

Also, putting the thermostat probe in the tank leads to the risk of it being moved around.

If it's placed outside of the tub, the CHE might end up working a little bit harder than you want it to be.
