is it possible to cross boas and pythons to get a new species of constrictor?
E.G.
ball python x rainbow boa = rainbow pyboa...or rainbow boathon

Nope.
Pythons are egg layers and boas give birth to live young... and that's just for starters!!

There are hybrids. I'm not into that so I don't know much about it. I remember reading somthing in Kevin McCurley's book about it. I can't remember what he crossed the ball python with.

There are hybrids among similar species....such as ball pythons and angolan pythons or among similar boa species such as bci and bcc. Just like there are hybrids among similar species such as horses and donkeys.....but a python to a boa would be akin to trying to hybridize a horse with a dog.
