    Man this Urks me...

As you may expect this is another craigslist thread. I was looking on there today looking to see if anyone actually had any snakes without 'adoption fees' (They're few and far in between but every once in a while...). In my search I stumbled across at least 3-4 Corn snake advertisements. Now to most of you that may not mean anything but in the state of Georgia selling/owning corn snakes is illegal, irregardless of its morph. I E-mailed them just stating that what they were doing was illegal with a link to the Georgia Fish & Game website that shows what is illegal to own/sell in Georgia.

It just urks me that people blatantly ignore these laws. It isn't too difficult to figure out, just call a few pet stores and ask about one, they'll all tell you they're illegal.

Oh and here's the link I forward to them:

You can have some rat snakes, just none native to the state, which is pretty much how all those snakes work. Just like you can have cali-kings and what not, but not any of the ones that are native to the state.

Some states have certain guidelines that allow you to own native species, usually it has to be a morph (Virginia does this for their snakes) but I guess Georgia doesn't see it that way.
