That is one large turtle! Very cool, and very lucky it didn't get run over. You probably already know but be careful when releasing it. If you put it in the same area it will probably try to hone in on the same area. I hope he/she's learned the lesson to not play in the streets.

OMG, that is the most hideous thing I have ever seen! but an animal nonetheless. Are they indigenous to your area? Maybe it was a pet, being the reason it hasnt bitten or hissed at you.
