Oh right, I remember now. Why is that again, isn't there something like only one known darwin in EU?

So we do have pure darwins. Interesting. I thought there was a legit reason they were hybridized... guess not. Thanks Pat.

    Re: Wow!

yep, personally... i'd rather have pure darwins than albino crosses. that's just me! but they definitely are nice snakes regardless. give carpets a few years and you will see the number of morphs and combos go up exponentially...

also, there are pure darwins in european collections. they surface from time to time and now at least one well known breeder has them... being carpets, easy to breed, they should soon be available in the US in both albino and normal form.

    Re: Wow!

I think the albinos will be awesome. Don't forget about the granite and caramel IJ's. How many here have seen a granite in person? Pictures don't do these guys justice. I know the IJ jaguars are not pure but I would love to see a jaguar/granite IJ.

I think keeping bloodlines pure is very important and serves a purpose. However, I want to see all of these morphs come together in some combos.

Even better. I wasn't sure on the Darwin's.

One thing I've learned in this hobby is that there is a fine line between localities and subspecies and a lot of "localities" are in fact subspecies (like BCI localities). They just lack the research to prove it. I never completely understood the system to designate species.
