I Am Going To Nip This In The Bud Right Now. This Is My First Yr Selling Babies. But I Do Think That Alot Of The People Have A Valid Point About Not Selling A Baby Until It Has Had Its First Few Meals. So From Now On I Am Not Going To Attempt To Sell A Baby Without Having It Eat A Few Times. Even Though I Would Have Not Sold A Baby To An Inexperienced Person If Had Not Eaten And Been Totally Honest About It! So There We Are Done With This! When I List My Babies From Here On Out They Will Be Eating, And I Think That Is A Very Valid Point! Gosh I Feel Alot Of Love In This Room!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Is this worth it?

Hey guys....I think it would be a very good idea for everyone to simply take a step back away from the keyboard and take a slow, deep breath.

I see an awful lot of jumping-to-conclusions about a potential sale that folks have virtually no information on...and an awful lot of defensiveness that came earlier than was warranted by the original questions raised. If you're going to challenge someone on how they do business, at least have some real facts lined up, rather than suppositions on what you THINK their motivations might be...and if you're going to defend yourself, try to do so with a little more maturity and less playground taunting to help maintain the credibility you are trying so hard to defend.

I really don't see the reason for all the drama on this thread. The guy came asking for opinions on if something was a good deal....folks offered valid opinions based on the facts presented. Whether or not someone chooses to then follow through with such a deal is entirely an independent decision and should not cause so much drama.

    Re: Is this worth it?

I will try to take the high road here and say I may have overreacted a bit at mcavanas comment. You are not an example of the bad side of this hobby, I just disagree with your opinions on this one issue. Also, I think edc3076 has been very clear that he will try to get a few more feedings in before selling his hatchlings. He deserves our trust and respect untill he proves otherwise. We have no reason to believe his snakes are any less healthy or high quality than the big, wellknown breeders.

You never know. Someday he may be the biggest name in BPs and/or shrimp and everyone will be buying from him!

edit: To the OP, make sure in your future emails to ask questions such as when was it hatched? weight? has it eaten? etc. It is your responsibility to educate yourself on what you are buying, as much as it is the sellers responsibility to be honest when you ask these questions. You will make much better BP buying decisions by asking a few questions.
