Putting the corn "to sleep"

We tried EVERY suggestion in the book, with the exception of force feeding.

We had a friend that works at Petco try to force feed it around week 4 of having the corn, yes..

This just caught my attention. Did you forget you had 'tried' force feeding? Or did you think the second statement would take the heat off a bit? Just curious.
