Jay, seroiusly I'm just trying to give you some wisdom here from years of leases. If there is an emergency, a water leak, a fire in a nearby unit, or in your unit - they do not have to give 24/48 hours notice and you do not have to be home to let them in.
Check your lease and unless your landlord/tenact rules are radically different than most, there is a clause in there for the owners of the building to enter your unit for emergency reasons. In your current state of being, one emergency entrance and man you'd be in trouble I think.
