Temp diff: Power Strip via Dimmer

    Hey everyone,

I am waiting on my boas from Jimisnakes, and I have been stabilizing their tubs for their arrival. Walmart only had one dimmer in stock, so I bought that and I have it controlling 2 identical UTH's attached to 2 identical tubs in near identical/if not identical environments. It has been on and stabilizing for about 4 hours now, and the temps are

    Upper tub:90.0
    Lower tub:92.2

The tubs are in a rolling tv cart (bottom shelf, middle shelf, open (top) shelf) and are identical 15 qt's. I can get a pic if you all dont understand what I mean. My bp's 41qt sits on the top, and the boa tubs are on the 2 shelves below that.

I dont see why there is a difference in the temps, especially since the lower one is warmer. The only thing I could come up with was where they were positioned on the power strip.

    The electrical setup is...

    Wall>Dimmer>Power Strip> ()()()()(Lower Tub)(Upper tub)

Is this a close enough range for the boas, or should I go out and find another dimmer and keep them on separate temp controls?

I am using acurites for temp's, and I turned the temps down from those measurements since the one is too warm for boas.

As far as I'm concerned, that is fine for BCIs.

If the bottom one gets above 94, that would be when I would start to be concerned. I would probably not go above 93.

Seems fine to me. If your worried, drill extra holes in the bottom tub, which should circulate air a bit more.

Can't wait to see what your getting from Jimi! He's the best.

If I were you in that situation I would keep it at the lower range. If there is a 2 degree temp difference maybe shoot for 88 and 90? Boas in general seem to do well with temps slightly lower than a BP from my experience.
