New Brooks King
Ever since seeing pics of Brandon Osbourne's "bone white" Brooks, I've been wanting one. I didn't get to get one from that line yet, but a friend of mine had a nice adult male for sale and I went ahead and purchased him to see how I like the species. So far so good... what a nice snake and very charming!
Here's a mediocre photo of a really cool snake.

Re: New Brooks King
Nice pick up. I've been looking at colubrids a lot lately, especially kings. I liked this site a lot better when it was all about balls. Now I'm having all kinds of cool stuff shoved in my face, taunting me.

Nice pickup Diana! It's great to see you've found the king of snakes...and that be brooksi. lol. I used to have 50 of them.....50 cages of poop every day. lol. Here is another one I drool over. He just doesn't know what to do with girls though.

Re: New Brooks King
Poop every day huh? Niceeee.....
Thanks for chiming in. Love the animal in the photo, isn't that one crossed with another species of king? My friend that I got mine from keeps saying he might have some chain king blood in him but she's just guessing from the way he looks... what do you think?

Re: New Brooks King
I don't really see any chain king influence. Looks like a typical floridana to me. Not quite what most would consider a "brooksi", but a nice floridana. You can have light and dark animals from the same clutch.....in most cases. Certain lines will throw the best of the best. Regardless, they are fun snakes to keep, and total garbage disposals. There's a reason I've been keeping them from almost 20 years. lol.

p.s. I almost forgot. The male I posted is a cross between an axanthic brooksi and a goini. Both are types of florida king, but considered different ssp. (floridana X goini/meansi). He is the only one in existence that I am aware of. Out of over 40 eggs, he's the only one I've hatched.... and I've had 100% fertility from all clutches. If the adults ever reproduce again, I should be in for a jackpot.
