I have read that many BP breeders do shorten their lighting cycle for breeding but in all actuality when studied in their native Africa they are so close to the equator that the lighting cycle changes only minutes so is virtually no different.

That said, I dont think it should interfere with breeding, I have snakes breeding right now with one girl who just had her prelay shed today. So the lighting obviously wasnt a factor. They go when they want to go, I let them tell me when they want to breed, after all they are the ones doing the deed not me (with snakes that is LOL)
