Anyone Else Seeing Something Odd Here?

Well it was day 60 and the first baby was out of the egg and the rest had pipped so I decided to cut the eggs a little more. I placed them in a tub in my rack since I didn't want a bunch of babies exploring the inside of my incubator. Today I went to check on the babies and here's what I found.

Anyone else see anything odd here? TWINS!!!!! 5 eggs and 6 babies. My first set of the twins. The two smaller babies out of the egg on the top right are the twins. When I cut them open I I never saw the little guy. After 5 days of sitting in the tub and all babies sticking their heads out I still only ever counted 5 heads.

Also looks like my weird female proved out. She was bred to an orange ghost and produced 6 dark granites. Here are all of her babies. Still have 3 more still in their eggs.

I'll post some pics of mom a little later. I thought I had some uploaded on photobucket but apparently not. LOL. She is a dark burgundy color that I thought was some sort of phantom/mojo type. I actually bred her to my mojave last year and witness cop a few times and what I thought was ovulation. She got as big as a balloon but didn't lay anything for me. Let me know what you guys think.

Congrats on the twins! One of them must be a shy baby to have stayed hidden all that time!

Here are some pics of mom. It's hard to get that deep dark burgundy color to show up in these pics. I'll learn to take some better pic.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I was so jealous of all the other guys having twins and I never thought that would happen to me. It was a total shocker seeing the extra baby. Lets hope most of them are females. . Next year we'll find out if she really is a dominate granite or if I'm just a lucky SOB. Would also be nice if a super hatches. Would be even better if it were twin supers!!! Ah to dream................................

Congrats on the twins Sam. They are always neat, and seem to bore a special place in our hearts. I have a set of twin normal females from last year. I really don't need anymore normal females, but something in me won't let me sell them. Also, here's hoping that your granite project will prove out. Those are some very nice looking hathclings.
