I wouldn't do it. My philosophy is...If i don't know i don't do it...as far a what can and cannot happen near the snakes. It might not cause any problem other than respitory irritation, but i would not take the chance.

Now, I burn scented soy candles. They're wonderfully fragrant and don't put off any smoke.

Considering that most incense is just wood chips dipped in perfume... UGH... I wouldn't burn it personally.
