    I've done it now...

I'm actually not sure whether to be over the moon or freaked out or angry (long story!) but...

I am now the proud owner of this guy.

The pics are epic crap, my camera's dead so I had to run next door and borrow the neighbor's. I'll get better ones up tomorrow. He's got a bit of stuck shed on him-I don't think they were keeping him properly but he's in loving (and nervous) hands now. He is supposedly a "silver dwarf" retic, whatever that means-can anyone pin down a locale from the craptacular pics? He definitely doesn't have the typical retic coloring, and his eyes are a kind of silvery orange. He's a doll too(at least so far).

So, now that I have made this unexpected leap, what do I need to know about dwarfs? I have heard that they are crazier than a normal retic, that half the time they aren't so dwarfish (15 feet-not a dwarf!) and a myriad of other things, so I need some info from the horse's mouth as it were. Do they grow as quick as normal retics? I've got the basic care down, but this being my first giant, and first retic, any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so giddy and nervous, I keep walking around going, "I cannot believe there is a retic in my house, oh my god." But I'm in it for the long haul, this guy isn't going anywhere whether he hits 10 feet or twenty.
I have new snake jitters. :faint:

Can't say if it's 100% dwarf, probably not these days, but from the pattern there is definately dwarf blood in him. Jamp, probably. That's where the silver in the eyes come from, the dwarf side. You see it in some "regular" retics, but not most of the normal mainland ones. Anyhow, have fun with him. Retics will always be my favorite. Just don't have room for more than one.

My thoughts exactly. Jamps have a huge influence in color.

Even if it was 100% dwarf, there are jampea retics out there right now at 15'+.
