    was i wrong?

Here we go another ebay issue.

i bid on three items from the same guy on ebay. i looked at his history and saw one negative. i saw a couple of slow shipping issues but nothing serious.

    i won all three items.

after a couple of days (slow shipping) but not a big deal i got a package.

one item was missing ...... the other two, two key parts were missing

i emailed the seller .... he said "i had help packaging the items and i'll overnight them to you."

    whatever...2 days later nothing.

    i email again

i say listen overnight is overnight and i don't have the package can you give me a tracking number

"sure i'm at work now, when i get home"

    2 days .... nothing .......

i send another email, and i was pretty firm in asking for the tracking number since i never got the email or my package.

1 day later he sends the tracking number ...... i look it up on fed ex and its on the way.

a day later......package arrives .....guess what! The main part i wanted from this whole order ..... and its broken! not unusable but that is not the freaking point!

i left negative feedback! I WAS NOT GOING TO LEAVE A NEGATIVE FEEDBACK UNTIL I SAW THE PIECE WAS BROKE, I WAS GOING TO SWEEP EVERYTHING UNDER THE RUG UNTIL THAT HAPPENED .

I get an email from him tonight telling i could have my money back, maybe it was damaged in shipping (100% not possible, its extremely hard metal) and he wanted me to remove the neg hit, and actually asked why i left it!

Beware of ebay punks! its highly annoying!

Bad service is bad service. I don't think you were wrong in what you did.

certainly you were not wrong leaving neg feedback in fact I admire your patience, I would have been irate at the point the broken piece arrived and would have been a danger to all around me once I seen it was broken

tell him you will remove it if you get your money back tomorrow morning hehe and your still keeping the item you ordered.

I think that the negative feedback lit a fire under him. If he does return your money, I would be inclined to remove the Neg.
Did you know..? You can NO longer leave a negative point for a buyer!? So.. people can not pay you and you can't even leave a negative hit point.. sheesh?

You just report them as a non paying bidder.

I'm going to keep the part. I can still use the part, its just the fact that not one thing he said was accurate. i would never do business like this guy.

i don't want my money back because who knows how long the whole turn around would be!

    Re: was i wrong?

you weren't wrong in leaving the negative feedback.. If he does return your money, change it to neutral and in the additional comments section explain the situation. ie.. slow shipping, missing/broken pieces, lack of communication, items not as described. he asked you to remove a neg hit, but he never said you had to change it to a positive hit.
