Anyways butter, youre setups are very visually enjoyable, and lookg great. I would kind of be worried about my BP getting stuck in that " building " lol. But very nice

I agree with LAWReptiles. Yes, we all know that the standing opinion for proper setup is to have a hide available at both warm and cool ends of the enclosure, but every animal is different. In my own opinion, I think that if you monitor the behavior, feeding habits, and general health of the animal, having the second hide is optional depending on those observations. That being said I currently have 26 balls, but mine are in rack systems with opaque containers that are only about 6 -7 inches deep. But when I first started I did have a couple of setups like him and only used one hide in each. The snakes that were kept in those enclosures I still have today and are my bigest animals. Never had a single health or feeding problem with them.

settle down now! He may not have 2 "official identical hides" but if you look at each of the tanks, there are places to hide on both sides in each one!
Love that tower thing. looks really nice. I am trying to find something unique like that for my livingroom display tank.

Bubble bursting time.
Did you guys know that ball pythons can live healthily for YEARS with NO hides?
It's been done.
Captivity is NOT The Wild.
We don't, NONE of us, not a single arrogant mother's son of us, know what these guys really think.
Who's to say they don't hide more because there are more hides but NEVER think of hiding when there are none. Or maybe it just doesn't bother them. Maybe burrowing in substrate is enough. Maybe a piece of newspaper to crawl under is every bit as good as a termite mound.
How do we know whether it is or not?
By how successfully we keep our snakes.
They've been successfully kept without any hides at all.
Therefore, they need no hides.
See how easy it is.
You do it your way and your snake is fat and seem happy. I do it my way and my snake is fat and seems happy.
Why argue over who's right when it's obvious that we both are?
There is rarely ONE way to accomplish a goal.

What was the last one ruined by "arrogance"? Could it have been your Adolf thread?

If I were bored and had new batteries, I wouldn't be taking pictures of snakes.
