Probing
I successfully probed three of my snakes. I first probed my male 100% het. pied ball python and sure enough, the probe went in a long ways and stopped. At the first sign of a dead end, I stopped and he was a he. I then probed my normal girl and sure enough, stopped short.
Then I probed my first corn, Zim. There had been some guessing going on when we were first trying to get her sexed. Some said boy, some said girl. We had a herp store owner pop and probe her and they said girl. When I probed her, she was a she.
I do have one question though. We have a small corn, maybe around 24g or so, as big around as a pencil. I used my smallest probe on all the other snakes I probed and this probe seems too big for the little corn. I'm not comfortable with popping but I want to know the sex of the corn.

Re: Probing
Thats really pushing it for baby corns. I would wait and get it popped by someone you know thats comfortable.

Re: Probing
I probe my ball pythons and I will also sometimes pop the hatchlings (although I never pop adults as I don't feel comfortable doing so) but I don't think i'd feel comfortable probing a young corn snake. I have popped numerous corn snakes but I'd say if you don't feel comfortable popping, find someone who does that you trust and have them do it for you. I know some may feel comfortable probing a young corn but I don't so I don't recommend it!
