    Foster

As many animals as we already have, we have opened our home to fosters from the local rescue Richmond Animal League. We didn't think they would consider us since we live in a townhome that only allows two cats and all other animals are not allowed. (We currently have 4 cats, 2 kittens we found outside that we are trying to find homes for, 7 ferrets, 1 dog, 1 sugar glider, 12 snakes, 12 rats, and some fish). We got a unexpected call this morning from RAL and they asked us to foster a 6 week old kitten. We are leaving now to go pick the kitten up. I'm excited. I've never done any fostering before, so this will be a first for me.

Once I have a house, I really want to do rescue. I want to rescue cats, dogs, reptiles, ect, and I want to adopt the older cats and dogs that have a lower chance of getting adopted because of their age.

cats are such nasty vermin. it is really sad how people have let their populations get out of control and then let them run loose.

they get introduced into ecosystems and destroy pretty much everything.

Sometimes i wish they would just destroy all the excess cats. This may not sound very humane, but i think for the longrun it would be for the best.

    Re: Foster

The little foster is a girl. She was treated for worms, earmites and had a vaccination. She's very cute, and they told me to come up with a name for her. I believe I am fostering her for two weeks.

I don't agree with destroying all the excess cats. All of my cats are so called "excess cats" and I love all of them. Miki I found on campus while at college. I wouldn't give her up for the world. She's my little baby girl. Tyran was adopted from RAL when I volunteered there in 2006. She's my "teenage" daughter. lol. And Ramman would die if he didn't have human interaction. He loves on you and grooms you every chance he gets. He's such a Mama's Boy.

I like the catch, spay/neuter, and release method as well as adopting out as many as we can. There are a lot of excess children out there in the world too, should we just kill them off since there are not enough families to take them in?

Ok, sorry, I'm just very passionate about my furry kids. I love them dearly. We got the little kitten her own little bowls and her own personal litterbox since she has to be kept away from our pets. She's technically feral, but very very friendly.
