    Dang, my car busted

    :,(

My car died! There goes another $600, and on top of that, my gas tank was leaking, another $150!

So sad... so close to Tinley. *sniffle*

Fuel pump replacement and filter is 600$. I go to a small farm and auto repair. The guy is super nice and honest; and a heck of a LOT cheaper than other places around here. Helps that he's only a mile away.

Sorry to hear about your car. It seems to be going around here lately. We had my husband's car die about 3 weeks ago. Died.... dead... gone. They wanted $4000 to replace the engine! So we now have a new car, which I LOVE but never get to drive. (although I do get to take it Daytona)

    Re: Dang, my car busted

I have to drop some serious money on my car too. I was going to VA Beach last week and we rear-ended another car. (Not our fault though).

I have to replace the front bumper and the airbags. And then if I choose to, replace the fender and grill, but those are mostly for cosmetic reasons.

    Cars are definitely money eaters.

    Re: Dang, my car busted

    I'm sorry to hear that!

I'm currently on a truck hunt myself because while my car hasn't died quite yet, its on its last leg. My boyfriend is a mechanic and even he can't keep my hunk of junk running.

Hopefully your car runs like gold now!

Sucks when cars crap out I feel for ya Connie

If you lived closer I'd fix it for you Depending on make & model fuel pumps are a quick fix You buy the parts & a case of beer and you'ld be good to go - It's always the labor that kills ya We get a nice discount on parts which helps a lot.
