    But wouldn't the snake feel more comfortable if it could hide the entire body?

    When the bowl lifts up it presses against the top of the rack making a very tight hiding spot, as far as I can tell they seem to like it that way..

    As a result of this post I went to my local Ikea store and bought 7 of these bowls for 99 cents apiece. They had large ones and small ones. I bought 4 small ones and 3 big ones. Can't go wrong at that price. I also found a wall clock for the reptile room with a thermometer and hygrometer on it for $4.99. Thanks for the tip!
