Can some one please describe to me a bloods behavior?

Well it all depends on the snake. Each one is different. I've handled some bloods that want to take your head off and others that are like ok you have me now what? My blood is very calm and handles very well. Shes never struck at me but does hiss when shes cranky. This is usually when shes fixing to shed. W/C bloods are alot more difficult to handle and some even say can never be handled enough to get them to calm down. If this is true or not Im not sure. Bloods by nature are a heavy bodied snake and dont move around alot. Mine I can get her out and she will lay in my lap and never move.
I suggest you look at some handle a few and try get a feel for one. If you get it at a young age it will be alot easier to handle as it gets older.

when they are babies they are very NIPPY, like very but when they get older if you hold them they get alot better

Just like any other snake, a blood's temperament has a lot to do with how much you handle it, and how comfortable it feels with you. If raised from a hatchling, and handled on a regular basis, it will more than likely be a docile captive.

That being said, bloods tend to put up with less of your crap than other snake species. That is, they are less forgiving of mistakes in handling/husbandry.

The first time you have a grown blood get mad and try to "run" away, you will be surprised how fast they can move. It's like they have a turbo button.

good post,very true on all counts there and especially the turbo, when they decide they want to be somewhere else when you have a hold of them its not the easiest thing in the world to keep hold of them ...........far from easy
