Oh my God I beg you PLEASE HELP ME

Ok well my glass viv just came and it lifted it up when i got it in the home and the door slid down the viv and broke the side I REALLY NEED HELP IM FREAKING OUT HERE.The corner has smashed but the rest of the viv is great and i can't take it back for a new one this cost me £80 which is $160 !!!!!!!! Please could someone help me and tell me what i could do about this and if i can replace the broken bit with wood or something or get another peice of glass OR SOMETHING.Your help will mean everything to me.

Several pictures would be helpful (from closeup and far back). Also information on what material the construction is and so forth. There's a lot of pretty handy people here that may have suggestions. Also have you thought to contact the manufacturer of this enclosure. I'm sure you're not the first person whose ever had a piece break so they may have some suggestions for you about proper repair.

Good idea i will contact perfecto ASAP i was hoping to get my BP today looks like that is not happening for a while the smash is not too bad it is a small area i will try to find the cable i need and i will post pics.I'll keep you posted so don't go away!!!

Even if the glass tank hadn't broken it would be a good idea to get your temps and humidity stabilized for a few days before buying your ball python. Good luck fixing the viv.

First off, take a deep breath and calm down. You didn't smash the thing, so it'll be ok.

If it's only a small break, you can repair cracks and such using aquarium silicone - the same stuff used to put it together in the first place. And yes, you would have needed to have the tank cleaned, set up and running for a few days at least before bringing the snake home, so a wait is needed either way.

See if you can't get some pictures up so we can see the extent of the damage, and try to contact the company and see what they say. Let us know the results and we'll go from there.
