As I was tucking my young son in, I caught him digging for gold.... ummm.... with his finger in his nose. UGH! So as a mother I reprimand him AGAIN.... hunny, get your finger out of your nose. It's very rude and gross. Can you guess what his reply to me was? Can you possibly guess? I was so tickled I had to share with you.... But it tastes so yummy.

We have a quote from my daughter on our dry erase board. "Never put a noodle in your nose". She had one of the boys in her preschool class put a lego so far up his nose he had to go to the doctor to get it removed, and we ended up eating spagetti for dinner. So somehow in her little brain it made sense to make this statement in the middle of dinner, as if imparting some message of grave importance.

The other day at work I was handfeeding some baby birds and a little girl came up to me and asked if she could help. I explained, "No, sorry. Birdies have two holes in their necks and if you put food in the wrong one, you could hurt them." She looked at me angrily and said, "You have two holes in your neck too, and that's gross!"

She was referring to this:
