Talking Reptiles: pictures vs. real life

So, I went to my first reptile show this weekend, and I gotta say, I changed my mind about a few animals. Some things, I didn't like at all from seeing pics before the show and now I have totally changed my mind. Kind of surprised myself!

A few examples of animals I didn't like before the show are Hognoses, Kenyan Sand Boas, Granite and Albino Granite Burmese Pythons, and White-tongue Skinks. I know there were more but I can't think of them right now! Haha!

Also, a few things I liked before but after seeing them in person, I totally fell in love with! These include Thayeri Kingsnakes (sp?), Bubblegum Ratsnakes, Tiger Retics, Poison Dart Frogs, Red-Eyed Tree Frogs, Mexican Beaded Lizards, and GABOON VIPERS!!! Also, as far as BP morphs, I have become [more] enchanted with Piebalds, Caramels, Albinos, Fireflies, and Honeybees!

Some things you just have to see for yourself!

Anybody else have animals that you just didn't care for until you saw them in real life?

I notice no one is saying that there was something they thought they liked from online pictures then were disappointed when they saw it in person! LOL!

I know when I first got really into BPs and I saw all the pictures of morphs online, I was impressed by how much more beautiful each and every one of them was in real life.

It really does make a big difference seeing the animals in person. Congrats on making it to your first show!
