    is it safe

    to remove a uth and place it on a new tank ?

    quick yes or no is all I need .... put it on two days ago used it for maybe four hours ...

    if you used the adhesive that it came with (peeled the sticker off and then just stuck it on) chances are when you take it off you might break the coils that heat. if you stuck it with your own adhesive you might have better luck....

    Well put. And correct. If you used the adhesive of the pad itself, then chances are it will break unless you are VERY careful. Even then I wouldn't trust it.

    The best way to adhere a UTH, or any heat source, is with foil tape (looks like aluminum foil in tape form, used on heating ducts):


    That's one on a tub, but you can do that just as easily on a tank.

    Use goo-be-gone and go slow. Goo-b-gone is awesome stuff, it'll take pine sap off stuff. Just don't get in a hurry.
