Pinkies are hardly a meal, even multiple pinkies is hardly a meal.
He actually looks like he can be taking weanling mice-small adult mice.

I thought the most important thing was the total weight of the meal? So enough pinkies would be a proper meal? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Obviously, there comes a point when the number of pinkies required would be large enough to make it impractical. And (as I mentioned in my previous post), if the snake isn't cooperating with taking the multiples, it won't work at all.

I would have that snake on small adult mice. Looks a bit thin to me too. If you think he's growing now just wait. It's really amazing how fast they grow. Most of their growth happens in the first three years!!!

    Re: BP growing quick?

Weight of the meal is important... but BPs should NEVER be on pinkies in the first place, so even a bunch of them wouldn't really give enough nutrition.

Best thing to do is find someone or somewhere that might take the pinkies you have and get some hoppers. Start with small hoppers and see if he'll take it. If so, do a few feedings on hoppers and then move up again to small adult mice if he'll take those.
Again, most newly hatched BPs take hopper mice right away, so anything smaller isn't a meal for them even in larger quantities. And it's not really a good idea to feed too many items at once.

That should be alright, you don't really want to jump right into larger sizes too fast. Live feedings are fine and safe as long as you monitor the feeding until the snake has the mouse securely in their coils.

Good luck! Let us know how things go!

Chuck: She was feeding it pinkies on the advice of a store before. We've been advising on how to move up prey size.
