Ok, my first assist feeding went well!

...well, first FOUR assist feedings. Four of the CH females I picked up this year just would not eat, its been a long journey. Today was finally the day I attempted assist feeding on them, and I have to say, it mostly went off without a hitch! I just placed at f/t rat pink in each of their mouths and they took care of the rest. I can't even describe how happy I am these girls are on their way to becoming nice plump little sausages!

Oh that's wonderful, Peter. I was just saying in another thread that the CH hatchlings we had to assist ourselves last year have done beautifully. They might have been slow to start and needed help like yours but today....well you'd never tell that by the strong hunters they are. One will "help" me if I don't move it quick with that rat for her LOL.

Glad it went well. Assisting is never fun but sometimes it's that or lose them/watch them slowly go downhill. Hopefully some of them will very quickly starting hunting independently now.
