Good questions.

While shedding is an integral part of growing they can also shed for other reasons such as healing and as part of the reproductive cycle (I think ).

Just feeding the correct amount on a good healthy schedule would probably be better for an underfed Bp. You certainly should feed a few small meals at first to ease their system into normal operations.

And the irridecence is at its best just after they shed for me - a perfect time to take those pictures we need.
