    My two hatchlings are out :-)

    Hi,

    These were the only two fertile eggs in the clutch of slugs - they were each stuck to two mouldy slugs all the way through incubation as you can see in one of the pics.

    One of them seems to have a few "glitches" in his pattern - merged saddles and joined belly checks. But both seem healthy and perfectly formed so I am like a dog with two tails.

    It's also wierd to me how both seem to have something resembling the letter "T" ontheir foreheads as both parents have a "Y" shape - are my hatchlings illiterate?

    Hatchling 1 - a bit of a squirmer so this was as good as I could get;

    Hatchling two seems to be a bit more of a poser;

    I think it's wierd how his belly checks line up in places - is this common?

    Contrary to the evidence he has me wrapped round his little finger.

    This pic shows the extreme fungus they were exposed to;

    I haven't sexed either of them yet - I figured I would wait until at least after their first shed and probably until they have had a few meals. What with me not being able to pop and everything.

    Mom had her pre-lay shed for a second clutch yesterday (her descision not mine ) so the incubator won't be empty for long I hope. Looks like I might have corn and ball pythons eggs in the same week. Lets just hope I have enough room.

    Thanks for looking.

    Re: My two hatchlings are out :-)

    I love my BPs, but I really like my corns.

    Congrats, that are both really nice looking little snakes, but yeah, that is a bizarre abherrant pattern on snake number two.

    Do you think it may be random, or due to something in the incubation process?
