True, I guess my main concern is the fact that a lot of the big breeders will not be attending this year. I am not sure if this is due to the recent legislation in Florida, price of fuel, or the recession. It will be odd not to see the regulars at Daytona.

You also have to take into consideration that the guy that runs the show lives in Florida. It would be a lot harder and less convenient for him to try to put it on in another state, far from where he is.

Wayne would have to check the Segway laws in South Carolina before considering moving the show.

Personally I think it will be held where ever Wayne wants to hold it no matter how many internet polls are created.

Re: National Reptile Breeders Expo in another state.
The new laws aren't the reason several have pulled out. Its about making $. Daytona is known for the best deals and I dont think its profitable for some of them to go there and sell their animals for way cheaper because other people are. If its not profitable and is lot of work and a huge liability why do it. I have heard the shipping costs this year as WAY higher and many breeders ship all there animals there and back. Morphs aren't worth as much as they used to be and the math has to add up in order to make it worthwhile.

This makes sense. Hopefully our economy will turn around soon. I hate not to see all the familiar faces. They do so much to stabilize prices.

Well said Why would someone pay an outlandish price for a morph when the guy on the next isle is selling for half what they are asking? Or the guy in the hotel for that mater? I still think it will be fun, have you tried to reserve a hotel yet? I did last week and it was almost imposible to find one!

Definately would love either state. I like NC better though.
Thanks,
