Champagne
Hello my name is Lex and I am very happy about having joined this great community of ball python lovers
Since I first saw a picture of the Champagne Ball I knew I need to have it in my collection.
That leads to my actual question:
How much do they go for? (08 male)
How much do you excpect the price to drop in the next two years?
I am afraid of investing that big amount of money when the price is -80% within one single year.
Regards, Lex

Welcome to the site Lex glad to have you.

They are a cool looking animal to work with thats for sure

Not sure but I'm pretty sure you looking at spends in the thousands of dollars on one, may be even up to Ten thousand. I haven't price them in a while
How much do you expect the price to drop in the next two years?
That question can't really be answered truthfully. Because alot can happen in two years to a morph.

It happens my only advice is if your afraid of prices dropping that don't work with ball pythons. The days of "investment" animals are fast becoming a memory. I'd say in two years you'll see champagnes drop a good bit. I mean look at G-stripes two years ago they were 8000.00 give or take now their 1500-2000 .
Best of wishes.

Great point about the "investment animals". I think everyone is so hung up on the economy's effect on the reptile industries' lack of vitality of late that there might be another factor at work.
Few animals, if any, are cutting edge for more than 18 months after being released to to the market. Unlike 3 years ago, there are more than a few breeders with more than a few animals. These animals are not base morphs and normal females!!!!
There are so many choices/possibilities because of the EXPLOSION of new 3, 4, and increasingly 5 gene animals -- that any one of them will not hold the clount they once would have.
As much as it may be not be a romantic notion for many keepers, one must be measured/level-headed when considering a brand new combo. How "new" will it be 18 months??? There are MANY choices to be made in today's ball market. Does one try to breed ahead of the market or play it safe buying behind? It can be difficult to be sure which choice to make -- and when.

Re: Champagne
Brock Wagner, BHB and NERD all have champagnes, you can try contacting them.
