Hi there my names charlie and im thinking of getting a ball python.

I already have a corn snake and i've been looking up ball pythons for some time though i wanted to run it by you guys so i know that my set up is good for the snake and me.

Ok well im getting a baby python and here is the viv i will buy...

I am getting the largest one there take a look.

Ok i am also getting 2 large hides and a water bowl im also getting some decor and other things such as substrate obviously.

So this is where i get stuck and thats at HEAT.Do BP need belly heat like corn snakes or do they need a lamp or something?I live in england and it usually stays pretty warm in my house. So what kind of heat do i need and what temps on average?

Thanks for looking please give some tips and give me some light to my questions. Thanks .

how old is the BP your getting? For a baby that large of an enclosure and large hides will be too big and your snake might not feel secure... What are you going to use to heat it?

Heat mats are hot enough in fact they can be too hot, you will need to use it with a thermostat or a rheostat.

And Im sorry I didnt realize that the measurements of those enclosures were in CM not IN... The large will be fine... However for half the cost you can buy a plastic tub with a lid on it and it will work great... Just make sure you get hides that are nice and tight for the snake to fit into..
