yes you can, on a plug that is grounded the ground is that third round prong below the two flat prongs (as long as your in america) Plugging non grounded devices into a grounded device is fine... It can even protect from shorting out in thunder storms...

Yep, no problem. You just can't plug something grounded into a non grounded outlet without an adapter. The main thing to 'worry' about with plugging things into t-stats is the wattage capacity and amperage. With normal heat sources, such as UTHs and Flexwatt, you usually don't have to worry unless you're running a LOT of them on one stat.
