Setting up as a puppy mill is not the proper approach but done correctly there is not a single thing wrong with breeding any animal with the sole intent of selling its offspring.
I never said not to make money. That would be stupid. Money is a factor every time...but it shouldn't be the sole reason and here's why: How are you treating the animals?

There's a big difference between "I own 100 Ball Pythons so I can have a wide variety of genes to make healthy, beautiful babies to sell."
And
"I own 100 Ball pythons so I can make thousands of dollars."

The first person probably takes the best care they can of their animals, seeing them as wonderful creatures that deserve good care. Money is a factor, but it's secondary.
The second person just sees the snakes as money makers and merchandise, no better then some of these mills and chain store suppliers. They probably only take care of the animals just enough to keep them breeding.

THAT is the point in not breeding only for the desire for money. Wanting to make some money is fine as long as you don't get carried away with that desire and make it everything.
