    Humidity issues in new rack

I think my racks are way too humid. My two hydrometers and measuring really different percentages (like one says %33 .. and the other reads %89).

Anyway, how do you guys keep the humidity DOWN. I can feel it is more humid than it is suppoed to be, and I have tried a lot of things. About the only thing that makes any difference is taking their water bowls out ... but I can't do that all the time.

HELP ME! It's an RBI Sweaterbox rack. PLEASE!

I make more vent holes when I have a tub that gets too humid. I use the same size bowls for all my tubs, so that's about all I can do.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

When I set up tubs, I err on the side of too many vent holes to start with. That way, if the humidity is too low I just cover some which is better then having to take the tub out and melt more.

And the only real ways to lower humidity in tubs is more holes or smaller water dishes. That's about it. One of the many reasons I prefer tanks.

Do you have a fan in the room to circulate the air? If not give that a try.

Re: Humidity issues in new rack

Cuda I have 2 of the racks that you have for my BP's. I have 13 BP's. I have had the same problem that you have had for the longest time and I couldnt figure it out. Since I cant keep my room where I have them 80 degrees I just added a fan to circulate around them. It works perfectly. I added more holes in front so the air could circulate more freely. none in back of the tubs. So it keeps the heat in the back where the heat is and the ambient stays up too. The humidity usually runs around the 55-65 range. Mostly it average around 57-60 unless I got them a little high once they are shedding. I also have the water bowls all the same. Hope this helps. If you need pics I could snap a few just hit me up on pm.
