    The Itch to Cut Eggs

5 days to go.....5 whole days to go....that's somewhere around 7,200 minutes or so until I get to cut our next clutch!

Boy time sure crawls at a time like this doesn't it.

A clutch of possi het Albino's from our 100% het Albino male, Malachi and our normal female, Kyna - but I'm excited anyways LOL. Can't imagine how the days are dragging for you Gene with your clutch possibly having that Lesserbee in there.

you do know that they should hatch on there own when they are ready.....no need to cut for them, they have their own cutting instrument.

Re: The Itch to Cut Eggs

Today is day 50 for my first clutch of mojave eggs. I cut my pastels on day 51 because I had my niece over and I wanted her to see, too. These mojos are from a breeder loan so I have to wait a couple more days. Then I'll have to wait 8 more days to cut another 7 egg clutch of mojave eggs. It's all smooth sailiing until I get into the 40+ days, then it drives me crazy.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Yes, and I've actually seen babies that were unable to succesfully cut their way out and ended up drowning in the egg.

It's a choice that I personally made to cut eggs anywhere between Day 52 and Day 54 to ensure that doesn't happen to any of mine.

Even when they are cut - they'll eventually come out of the egg on the day they were supposed to. At least that's been my personal limited experience.

I'll be cutting my last clutch on August 5th!
