Re: Saggers laws...uhmmm what?!?!?!
LOL, ahh yes. Good ol' Flint. I'm not surprised about this. Let's take more police and fireman off the streets, ignore the rising violence and gang issues... Go after those scoundrels that wear their pants below their waist. Good job Flint!!

Re: Saggers laws...uhmmm what?!?!?!
So, hip-hugger and low-ride jeans are okay for women... but a guy who 'sags' his baggy urban jeans is breaking the law? Perhaps this law was worded to apply equally between the sexes, but I highly doubt (and call me a sceptic) that many women are going to be taken to task for wearing paths off the hip.
I agree that pants pulled down to the knees and underwear so low you can see pubic hair is a little extreme (perhaps even straddling the line of indecent exposure), but the artist renditions of what would be considered 'illegal' do not depict that level of 'sagging.'
It will be interesting to see if the first people charged with this new 'offence' will challenge the law. They just may have a case.
In Britain the government recently tried to take on 'hoodies' - because they apparently contributed to delinquent behaviour.
Next it will be bangles and hoop earrings forcing young girls to rob banks.
Oh the humanity!
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

I just love the contrast between the northeast and the midwest. There are towns near me where it is legal to be naked in public (even on Main Street) and people do it all the time! No one even pays any attention to them anymore.

Wow, I'm not going to Flint without my belt tightened. Not like I had a desire to go there anyway!....

I have no doubt that the "young boyz" that wear them are seen by the police as people that are likely to be in possession of illegal drugs and weapons and this law gives the police a valid reason to approach them and bust them for a bigger charge without being accused of harassment or making an illegal search. The ACLU is contesting this law.

Well, butt crack does kill . . . wait . . . maybe it's just crack kills! Just kidding.
You'd think they would have bigger issues.
