Kratos here, wow! I registered almost a week ago, just because I am interested in owning a Ball Python since I was a kid. In fact I am getting one next week, hopefully! I was suppose to purchase one BP two weeks ago, but ever since I registered here to learn more about BP, it took me days to read a lot of threads relating to husbandry and even enclosure set up. Considering they will live a long time, I should be prepared. I also changed my mind and will be getting one from a breeder.

Sounds like you are doing everything the right way - plan first purchase second.

Best tip I can give you is have the enclosure set up and running for as long as possible before adding the animal just to check everything is working as planned.

That is AMAZING advice. For me hindsight is always 20/20. I went all wrong. I didn't have the enclosure ready for my BP when I brought her home and really wished I had. Everything is good now but it was rough for a bit.

Kudos to you for researching and prepping first!! Get that enclosure all set up and running right before you even contact the breeder and just keep reading threads here.

Thanks guys, yeah I will do that, "run the enclosure for a while".
And I will post a some pics as soon as I got one. I feel this is really addicting! haha.

Oh, it isn't just 'really' addicting...it's incredibly addicting!!

And I thought so. I watched GOW and GOWII at least twice each while my BF played through... he's working on being a designer.
