Re: Baby albino
God Edie, she looks fantastic!!!!
As far as the aspen goes, Ive personally have never used it, although I have been around people who do. They always seem to share the simliar problem of substrate in the mouth. I use paper now, and its a godsend! lol

Re: Baby albino
I use aspen for the little boas as well, i dont have any problems with it....mainly becuase i dont feed (directly) on it, i usually lay down newspaper to feed.
My albino boa's skin actually got stained from the newspaper print (it came off after she shed) so i keep her mainly on aspen and white paper towels.

I hated using newspaper because of the print, I got indented kraft paper for all my larger snakes now. Maybe I will try using paper towels with some aspen around the corners. The weird thing is I haven't fed the albino boa yet, so she just got it from being in the cage with it. The other one usually doesn't get aspen stuck to her food but it just happened that once, luckily they are easy going snakes and let me do whatever I need to them to help them.

Re: Baby albino
Yep, whatever works !
When theyre small, i really dont even mind moving them into another empty draw for feeding (i have a rack) but when theyre bigger, i just use paper becuase its a pain to move a hungry 7 footer back and forth from a feeding cage !

Re: Baby albino
What a little beauty!!!!!!
I use kraft paper in the cages and have a little aspen area if the boa wants to burrow. Thus far, they don't seem to be that into it and much prefer to hang out on their branches; even the one who used to burrow no longer does.... I'm considering just not putting it in there anymore.... Anyway, in a 2x3 cage, they each have about an 8"x8" aspen play area and the rest is kraft paper. Works great!!
So, back to oogling over your gorgeous snake now.....
