Now you know what I did last summer (DUW)
So, I don't think this qualifies as field herping per say, but I thought I would share some pictures from last summer. I am a college student, and last summer I spent 10 weeks marooned on an uninhabited island (in the exotic locale of the southeastern US) tagging loggerhead sea turtles. Most of the pictures of actual turtles aren't great, since the only pictures we took were for shell identification. Extra pictures would have disturbed the nesting mommies, but here are some of the pics I have, as well as a few other unidentified herps I saw during my stay. Enjoy:
First off, random herps from the island:
A lizard of some sort... maybe a fence lizard...

I think this one was a black racer:

Itty Bitty Frog of Cuteness:

Now we start building up towards the turtles with... turtle tracks!!
A nest found in the morning that had yet to be marked:

A nest at night. In the background you can see the sign and nest cage we put up for protection:

Finally some momma turtles. First, a few shell shots:

And finally, one decent shot, where the turtle looks like a turtle:

And some scenery shots-
The dunes:

The Beach at sunrise:

The Beach on a full moon night:

Nice pictures. Looks like a green anole and your basic tree frog. That must have been a fun time.
