Favre is notorious for this flip flop....but this season he carried it a step further by retiring...but the Packers organization put him on the reserved retirement list so it wouldnt hurt their salary cap...which left the door open for Brett to do this...

...the organization should have just taken the hit and paid him out so that this wouldnt have happened...because nobody would say Brett retired 'for good'....so I think it was kind of naive on the organization to think Brett wouldnt have second thoughts...

...so you are right...it is a business, and the Packer organization was trying to save some pennies, but they were doing it by putting Brett Favre on the reserved retirement list...he is the LAST player you wanna do that too...ha!

..I guarantee you Ted Thompson is wishing he would have paid him in March.
