As for the egg thing, I doubt that. Unless they're referring to a much larger species of rat snake eggs in comparison to normal corn snake eggs I don't think so.. let me look it up..

Well I'm learning something new. According to wikipedia:
All snakes by the species name of 'Elaphe' are rat snakes. Including 'Elaphe guttata' which is the scientific name of a corn snake.
Apparently there are lots of different kinds!

Some are tubular...and some arent...but I think it depends on the species actually...not just whether it's a ratsnake or corn...
